Half of our planet's population primarily resides in cities. Faced with increasing challenges of climate change, aging demographics, declining birth rates, and rapid technological advancements, surviving in cities has become more difficult, and urban governance has become more demanding as a result.
Being the most populated city in Taiwan, New Taipei City mirrors Taiwan's development at large. This exhibition makes use of the circular spatial layout of the venue and employs a cinematic presentation with a rhythmic touch to help viewers see the panoramic view of how New Taipei City establishes a resilient and adaptable governance framework.
Each case study illuminates how New Taipei City navigates the opportunities and constraints presented by its unique circumstances. Shattering conventional mindsets when making use of physical and intangible assets, this city embraces a vision of simplicity, sustainability, and reconnection with nature.
In the city of tomorrow, regardless of age, gender, or role, be it you, me, them, or even creatures, everyone is a steward of the city. Only through enhanced communication and mutual understanding can we thrive and build a brighter future together.
